Bed Bugs hide in cracks and crevices. The first step in treating a bed bug infestation is to locate all of their hiding places. Furniture, fittings, beds and even crevices in wallpaper must be inspected carefully for bed bugs. In some cases beds would need to be dismantled for easier inspection and possible treatment. Remove drawers from desks and dresses, also turn furniture over to inspect and clean all hiding spots.
Thoroughly clean the infested locations. Vacuum all cracks and crevices where bed bugs hide. Treat using an insecticide. Applications are best done as a "crack and crevice" treatment to known or potential bed bugs harbourages, as well as using a broad band residual insecticide through a coarse sprayer or as an Ultra Low Volume insecticide for the rest of the room.
